Delete your ChargeConnect account
Last updated 27 August 2026
The short version
- Delete your account yourself in the app: Account → Delete account.
- No app to hand? Email privacy@chargeconnect.com.au and we will do it for you.
- Your name, email address and phone number are deleted.
- Your charging records are kept as the site's energy record, with your name removed.
- A charger registered to you is released, not deleted, so its next owner can set it up.
1. Which app this is
This page is about ChargeConnect (au.com.chargeconnect), the app
for managing a ChargeConnect electric-vehicle charger installed at your home.
The service is operated by MSM Seva Pty Ltd (ABN 90 676 386 717). The apps are published on the App Store and Google Play by Keshavraj Corporation Pty Ltd on behalf of MSM Seva Pty Ltd.
2. Deleting your account from the app
This is the fastest way, and it takes effect immediately.
- Open the ChargeConnect app and sign in.
- Tap Account, at the top right of the main screen.
- Scroll down and tap Delete account.
- Read the confirmation, enter your password, and tap Delete my account.
You are signed out straight away and your account no longer exists. If you signed in with Apple or Google there is no password to enter, so the confirmation step is all that is required.
This cannot be undone. Deleting an account does not cancel or refund anything — the app takes no payments — and it does not affect the electricity account you hold with your own retailer.
3. Asking us to delete it instead
If you have uninstalled the app, cannot sign in, or would simply rather we did it, email privacy@chargeconnect.com.au from the address on the account, or use our contact form.
We may need to check that the request is genuinely from you before we act on it — an account controls a piece of electrical equipment, so we would rather be careful. We aim to complete verified requests within 30 days.
4. What is deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes:
- Your name, email address and phone number.
- Your password.
- Your account itself, and the link between you and any charger you registered.
- Every sign-in token, on every device — you are signed out everywhere.
5. What is kept, and why
- Charging records, with your name removed. The date, duration and energy delivered for each charge stay on the site's books as its energy record. Once your account is gone, they are no longer linked to you or to any other person.
- The charger itself. The unit on your wall is released rather than deleted, so whoever owns it next can register it. It stops being associated with you.
- Records we must keep by law. Australian law requires us to retain certain business records; where that applies we keep the minimum required, for no longer than required, and use it for nothing else.
- Server logs. Routine technical logs are kept for up to 90 days for security and fault diagnosis, then discarded on a rolling basis.
