Terms and Conditions
Last updated 27 August 2026
The short version
- You need an account to use the app, and you are responsible for what happens on it.
- The app is for managing a charger installed at your home. It does not charge you for electricity — your own retailer does.
- The app does not take payments.
- Follow the safety instructions, and use equipment that is in good condition.
- Nothing here removes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
These are a summary only. The full terms below are what apply.
1. About these terms
These terms form an agreement between you and MSM Seva Pty Ltd (ABN 90 676 386 717) (“ChargeConnect”, “we”, “us”). They apply whenever you use the ChargeConnect app, our website, or a ChargeConnect charger.
The ChargeConnect mobile apps are published on the App Store and Google Play by Keshavraj Corporation Pty Ltd on behalf of MSM Seva Pty Ltd. Your agreement is with MSM Seva Pty Ltd, which operates the service.
By creating an account or starting a charging session, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract.
- The information you give us must be accurate, and you must keep it up to date.
- Keep your password and your device secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
We may suspend or close an account that is being used unlawfully or that puts equipment or people at risk.
3. What the app does
The ChargeConnect app lets you register a charger installed at your home, start and stop a charge, see what the charger is doing, and review your charging history.
We do not bill you for electricity. The energy your charger uses is supplied by your own electricity retailer and billed to you by them. Any figures the app shows are provided to help you understand your usage; they are measured by the charger, are not a bill, and may differ from your retailer's meter and from your vehicle's own display.
The app does not take payments. It does not collect card details and does not charge you for using it.
4. Your charger
- You are responsible for having the charger installed by a suitably licensed electrician, and for the electrical installation it connects to.
- You must register only a charger that you own or are authorised to manage.
- Keep the charger's firmware up to date where we make an update available.
5. Using a charger safely
- Follow all instructions displayed on the charger and in the app.
- Only use a charging cable and vehicle that are undamaged and in good working order.
- Do not use a charger that appears damaged, has exposed wiring, or is displaying a fault. Report it to us instead.
- Do not attempt to open, modify, repair or interfere with a charger.
- Do not use a charger for anything other than charging an electric vehicle.
You are responsible for any loss or damage caused by your failure to follow these requirements, or by faulty or unsuitable equipment of your own.
6. Availability
We aim to keep the service running, but we do not guarantee that the app or your charger will be available without interruption. A charger may be offline for maintenance, or affected by a fault, a power outage or a network outage outside our control. If the app is unavailable, your charger may still be usable directly.
7. Your responsibilities to us
You must not:
- Use the service unlawfully, or in a way that damages equipment or endangers anyone.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, or to another customer's account or charger.
- Interfere with, reverse engineer or disrupt the app, our systems or a charger.
8. Australian Consumer Law
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures you are entitled to a replacement or refund, and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they are not of acceptable quality and the failure is not a major failure.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies those rights.
9. Liability
Subject to section 8, and to the extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profit, lost opportunity, or loss arising from being unable to charge at a particular time.
- Where our liability can be limited, it is limited to resupplying the service or paying the cost of having it resupplied.
- We are not liable for loss caused by your vehicle, your cable, your electrical installation, or your failure to follow safety instructions.
Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
10. Privacy
We handle your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
11. Closing your account
You may delete your account at any time from within the app, under Account → Delete account. Deleting is immediate and cannot be undone: your account and personal details are removed, and any charger registered to you is released so it can be set up again by its next owner. Your past charging records are kept as the site's energy record with your name removed. You can also ask us to close your account by contacting us. Closing your account does not affect records we are required by law to keep. We may end this agreement on reasonable notice, or immediately where you have seriously breached these terms.
12. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms from time to time — including if we add new features such as paid charging, which would be covered by updated terms before it became available to you. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. Where a change materially affects you, we will give you notice in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the change.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia, and you and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that State.
